Answers to common questions about college laundry service.
Your student places their dirty laundry in a Laundry Care bag and schedules a pickup. A local Laundry Care Provider will arrive during the selected two-hour pickup window. Your student can hand off the laundry in person or leave it in a designated secure location.
Providers can text when they are about 15 minutes away, and students can coordinate pickup and delivery details directly with their Provider or with Laundry Care Support. Clean laundry is returned on the scheduled delivery day during another two-hour window.
Yes. Laundry Care can pick up from apartments, residence halls, dorms, and other campus-area housing where service is available.
Some college campuses restrict vehicle access or have limited parking near residence halls. If the Provider cannot safely or legally access the pickup location, your student may need to meet the Provider nearby for the laundry handoff. Pickup instructions can be coordinated in advance.

College laundry service is $28 per bag, plus a $6.25 service fee per order.
Laundry Care is pay-as-you-go rather than requiring payment for an entire semester upfront. Your credit card is charged for each individual order after the laundry has been delivered.
One standard Laundry Care bag can hold up to 20 pounds of laundry, which is approximately two standard-size loads.
The bag is comparable in capacity to a 13-gallon kitchen trash bag, making it a practical size for a college student’s regular clothes, towels, and everyday laundry.
No. A Laundry Care bag is not required, but we strongly recommend using one because the 13-gallon Laundry Care bag is our standard unit of measurement for per-bag service.

Our standard college laundry service returns laundry in two days.
If your student needs their clothes sooner, next-day delivery may also be selected for an additional fee.
Your student’s laundry is handled by a local Laundry Care Provider who has partnered with Laundry Care and meets our service and quality standards.
The Provider handles the pickup, laundering, folding, packaging, and delivery of the order according to the preferences and instructions provided by your student
Yes. Service can be paused for school breaks, holidays, trips home, or other times when your student will be away from campus.
Just notify Laundry Care in advance so we can pause any pending orders during that period and resume service when your student
Yes. Laundry preferences and special instructions can be added to the student’s order or recurring service preferences.
This allows your student to communicate preferences for how their laundry should be processed, including any specific washing, drying, detergent, or garment-care instructions.
Laundry Care can be used on-demand or as a recurring service. Your student can place an order whenever laundry starts piling up, or set up regular service for a more hands-off routine. Either way, you pay per order, there’s no requirement to pay for an entire semester upfront.
No. Your student does not have to be present if there is a secure location where the laundry can safely be left for pickup or delivery.
However, we strongly recommend an in-person handoff when there is not a secure storage location. Dorm entrances, lobbies, sidewalks, and other high-traffic areas can increase the risk of theft. Laundry stolen while left unattended in an unsecured location is not covered under Laundry Care’s lost-item policy.
